One of the biggest guns Dude I hope I hit him good I don't know What's happening everybody welcome back To another exciting episode of bow Hunter die this week we have an awesome Hunt from out west Wyoming with our Buddy Paul Morrison on an early season Spot and sock Antelope hunt on public Land for an absolute stud of a goat Let's check it out all right guys we've Got a little evening off here Um we got some clients coming in Tomorrow but as of right now I've got a Little bit of time to hunt so Older brother's in town he's gonna run The camera let's see if we can knock a Antelope down with the bow so let's go All right well we found some Antelope Here Long ways away and they're running They're just rotten right now So we're gonna try to watch this go Same running Scott Just by himself right yeah Maybe I'll come he might come right up Here we can shoot him right here I keep coming son look he's chasing his Dog That means we might be able to decoy a Man's guy Yeah he's pretty nice All right well we found some goats which Is awesome they're all in public which Is even better

Um but uh one of the goats is really Really big and I normally don't care About size on goats until you see a big One then of course you want to try to go Shooting so Um one of the goats kind of came up the Ridge here I think that's the one that We stocked yesterday Um and then the other one's down there With a bunch of does and they seem Really wired up from the rut so we're Going to take a decoy in there and see What we can do the terrain's not great And they're on their feet so it's gonna Be hard but we're gonna try we'll see What happens All right so here we go Um I'm gonna stock up in here and see How close we can get hopefully weight Them out or something maybe get a shot At him he's a big goat so Uh should be fine let's let's go What's that there's a chance Because I've walked in there chasing Them around and I just saw a donut [Applause] [Music] We had a birthday going to be running on Us He's going down in the valley again How far are we like 250 What by 300 yards it's one of the Biggest guns I've seen him Okay

He came all the way to there and stop And turn around if we had a buck decoy It'd be right on us oh really yeah well 100 free of that app yeah So stupid About where he's at right now And see if they'll stay there and come See me in your life Ready [Applause] [Music] What's that if you see horns let me know Okay Okay he is Why do I hit him Don't hit something hard I don't like him Dude I hope I hit him good I don't know Dude give me some good blood come on Dude we have we have blood We have blood guys So I don't know how much footage we got Of this but this is a really big goat And we've been bouncing around trying to Um Trying to get a shot at him he had lots Of footage but we're up here in the Mountains and This goat just came in and I didn't have Time to range I'm set on 20. I held the 20. About a foot over its back so Right now we have blood so I hit him he Went taken off like a death run but we

Haven't seen him run over the hill yet So I want to come up to this hill and Hopefully he's there or we can get Another shot at him so Come on He's not with him Attack on it Freaking see him Just pay attention to any of The Ridges With him going over it I mean I could have just hit him in the Armpit or something you know So The only thing we can do now instead of Keep instead of keep going we're gonna Check this ditch line We're gonna go back and look see if I Missed him and maybe he was dead on the Fence line which wouldn't be basically Best case scenario which I don't think Happened [Applause] But we can get the truck over there and Look down on this side All right guys so quick update again I Just got back to the truck Um Looks like I might have found my goat From last night Um you know honestly when we went back And looked at the footage the shot Didn't look horrible I was worried about Up and down and it might actually been a Little bit more forward than anything

I'm not 100 sure but because the weeds Kind of covered it up a lot but I think I might have found this goat I'm Parked about where we shot it I'm gonna Go about 400 yards down here and then up The hill and hopefully uh that's our Goat and we can get them the meat still Should be good Um it got really cold up here last night So we'll see if we can get up here and Find them Thank you All right hiking up this health But it looked like this goat's laying We shot him on the other side of the Road And I didn't figure he crossed my Obviously if it's him he did Last night's hunt was awesome and I'm Not going to take anything away from That Um my brother was over the camera which He hasn't got to do much hunting and it Was pretty cool I've seen this big buck And actually end up decoying him in he Was running the camera and I think he Had a good time unfortunately on my shot Um I don't know it's a little far Forward or something we'll check it out When we get down there but this morning Came up here as early as possible it was Really cold last night and I started Working the draws glassed everything

Glassed everything worked the draws and You know last night we never saw that Buck go up And so he was either in the Jaws or just Hammered down along the fence or he Crossed the road and I I kept checking The ditches over here when crossing the Road but eventually I found him and he Was actually up on one of these points Like these Antelope do when they get hit Um you know unfortunately last night we Ran out of light or we'd been able to Find them last night I mean we shot him At about 10 to 15 minutes till dark and That's all we had so we backed out came Back this morning unfortunately he was Still he was barely alive but he had his Head you know kind of laying down on the Side and I snuck up to him and put Another one in them at uh at about 30 And he just smoked down here to this Bottom and tipped over so like I said It's not uh it's not exactly how you Want it to go you know I want to watch Him tip over on the first shot but the Next most important shot that I always Tell people is that second shot second Opportunity you missed that opportunity You might be three miles away with a Goat that knows he's being stalked again You know so anyway he's down here in the Spot him he's a really good goat Probably the best goat I've ever shot up Here on the mountains chasing him with

My brothers pretty cool so I'm gonna go Down here and get our hands on them and Man I'm pretty fortunate you know you Put in enough work sometimes you get Lucky Dude what an absolute giant goat Holy smokes Look at that big son of a gun All right guys well It is cool to get your hands on a goat That you see from a mile away and make a Plan and stalk in make a shot and then Unfortunately have to back out You know all those uh up and down Emotions that you get you know you Finally get a chance at them and then You're not sure if you're going to get Them but so we tried to make a play on Them got up Um As luck would have it we got to a spot Where we were about 150 yards away and We're able to show them the decoy and They're kind of rutting around right now He's chasing bucks and everything but Um Yeah he turned around and snorted and I Told Scott I said he disappeared he's Gonna show up And sure enough he kind of came around The hill and somehow I hit him a little Bit far forward actually and You know maybe a little bit High not not Bad really uh the exit's pretty nice

Actually a little high in the shoulder But Um you know it's luck would have it it Was right at the last light and so The problem was we couldn't get eyes on Them and it got dark on us so we had to Back out last night came out this Morning looked and looked and looked and Here about 9 30 or something I actually Found him across the road on the Opposite side probably only about 500 Yards away but he wasn't doing so good Initially I thought he was dead but got Up on the hill and was able to put Another arrow in him and finish him off He ran down into this into the weeds That's actually closer to the road but Um yeah just a pretty cool hunt big big Goat and I got to share it with my Brother so that was pretty pretty sweet So I called him this morning he's headed To Seattle for for work so called him This morning told him the good news and Uh now I get to try to get some pictures By myself unfortunately and uh hopefully They turn out and get to show you how Cool of an animal he is but you're gonna Enjoy them they're good eating we like To eat them anyway we tell all our Clients the back straps are no good that Way they leave them behind so that we Can have them but If you fall for that you're pretty dumb I guess

Anyway gonna get a tag on them and we'll Get to cutting so Another goat down in my Antelope buck Season is over so I hope you guys Enjoyed all right here we go Another quarter up job On that far of a drag if I had to drag But I am quartering up packing out it's just Easier But uh we're hanging these back straps Up so that they cool off right away We're just working on it flies aren't Great right now but Pack it all in the pack Head back to town it's not that bad of a Pack really Um I don't know exactly know how much this Weighs but Probably around 50 pounds something like That Um with everything on it On my Waters My camera stuff Not too terrible Got about Six seven hundred yards To go to get to the road so I'm really Not that bad Not too bad Terrain It's been a good day Recovered the animal from last night Finished them off made a good shot

Died in about 50 yards in the shade Can ask for much more than that well That was an absolutely awesome hunt and A great buck that Paul shot last year Out there in Wyoming you know I should Be in Wyoming antelope hunting right now But unfortunately uh there was a massive Winter kill and die off of antelope mule Deer and whitetails in that area so Maybe a couple years before I get back Out there to hunt any of those animals But hopefully I'll be out there next Year on an elk hunt up in the mountains With Dustin if I am lucky enough to Finally draw that coveted Wyoming tag For next year but once again congrats to Paul awesome hunt public land got to Share it with his brother Um really nothing better than that so Next up guys we're going to jump into And ask the experts section brought to You by our good friends over at Lancaster Archery and our buddy PJ Riley So this question comes from Sam Lafferty Who asks how often should you check to Make sure that your bow is in tune that Is a great question let's see what PJ's Gotta say Justin and Todd so this Bow Hunter he Wants to know how often does he need to Check the tune of his bow Need is a very relative question Obviously you need to check it anytime It goes out of tune you know you always

Want your bow to be in tune so if you Have the equipment to do it you can Check it as often as you want you know Some of the things that are most likely To happen is that your cams come out of Time they're they're not synced together You know you're going to need a draw Board to be able to check that and then You would need a bow press to fix it Although however with the Matthews stay A field system that can substitute as Your bow press But you know that's those are some of The things you're going to want to check For your cam timing you know you shoot Through paper every now and then see if Anything has shifted it shouldn't is the Answer but usually you know those cams String stretching over time it doesn't Take much for those cams to come out of Time that's probably the issue that You're going to have to deal with the Most as far as rest movement or you know You get start getting left right paper Tears as you're paper tuning that Shouldn't be a problem assuming Everything is locked down but hey There's nothing wrong with just every Now and then taking a shot through paper Making sure you're still getting that Bullet hole if you're not then you can Start dissecting the problems as a rule Of thumb I would say I would check it About every two months you know just run

Through a checklist and make sure that Bow is shooting good for you hey as Always thank you to PJ and the folks at Lancaster Archery for that great answer You know when it comes to tuning your Bell for me I'm usually tuning it when I Set it up I'm usually going to check it Again before the season so I'm going to Do a paper tune or a bear Shaft or a Walk back just to make sure everything's Good once the season comes for me it's Pretty much just practicing and I can Usually tell if something's wrong or has Gone out of tune which is pretty rare For the most part but yeah once the Season starts for me it's just Practicing trying to stay in shooting Shape or whenever that moment happens to Present itself so next guys we're going To jump into some trophy photos we got Some really good bucks to look at I saw Them like cursory took a look I haven't Looked in depth at them so let's do that And I will pick a winner for this week's Trophy photo so let's start it off with Austin Caldwell from California We've got Rod Bridgeman from Illinois John Payne over in Pennsylvania And we're going to round it out with Josh Dugas or Dugas in Maine so let's Take a look oh the California Buck dude That's got to be this year right I mean That's a big that's a velvet deer I know that these other ones obviously
